Increase in consumer complaints about villas and hotels
Staying in a villa or hotel?
Here's your chance to find out more about the increase in UK consumer complaints about villas and hotels whilst abroad in Europe: listen in to an interview with UK ECC consumer advisor Adam Mortimer on the John Guinn Travel Show on UK Health Radio.
Adam Mortimer told listeners to the digital station: "Complaints about villas and hotels would include problems with bookings or non-return of the breakage deposit if something has gone wrong whilst on holiday. This doesn't take into account complaints about timeshares and holiday clubs."
He said that package travel has its own legislation, but that individual bookings rely on the type of problem the traveller has depending on the situation.
And Adam also talked about the UK ECC's increase in transport complaints, the most common passenger problems and how passengers can find out about their rights.
