Our Service

The objective of the European Consumer Centres’ Network is to provide a full service to consumers - from purely information requests through to dispute resolution. This is to enable consumers to take full advantage of the internal market, without risk to their health, safety or economic interests.

The service provided by the European Consumer Centres' Network is related to cross-border shopping issues within Europe where the consumer and trader are based in different countries.

Each centre has six specific objectives which it should follow and adhere to:

Promotional activities

Direct provision of information

Assisting consumers with a complaint

Assisting consumers with a dispute

ADR development

Networking and feedback

The UK European Consumer Centre has a free newsletter available, “UK ECC – your update”. The aim of the newsletter is to provide you, the consumer, with a flavour of what the UK ECC does, provide examples of cases we have been working on and, more importantly, provide you with the best advice on cross-border shopping.

If you are interested in subscribing to our newsletter please complete the form on our subscription page. Once you have subscribed you will receive confirmation of your subscription and then you will receive the latest copy of our newsletter, with new ones being provided when they are released.
