Consumer information screen saver

Most of us know somebody who’s had a dodgy experience abroad – either pressure-selling from a holiday club or timeshare organisation, an unexpected bill from a car rental company for “damage caused”, or a problem with a piece of electrical equipment bought in a shop.

But how many of us know what to do when things go wrong? What are our rights? What is the best way to complain?

The UK European Consumer Centre is pleased to present its free Consumer Information Screen Saver (windows format only).

The Screen Saver is made up of 10 rotating information and advice pages - to tackle various consumer-related ‘knotty-problems’ and advise consumers on what to watch out for.

Subjects tackled include:

  • Cancelled flights? Know what you are entitled to…
  • Ordered online but have had no delivery?
  • Has the airline lost your luggage?

Instructions:

Download the compressed file and unzip it to a safe folder where it will not be accidentally deleted.

Once the file is saved where you want it then "right-click" on the file and choose "install" from the menu (this will cause the typical screen saver window to open for you to check the settings and to click "OK").
